Nektar, the mysterious goddess in the forest who mediates the hearth, home, and fragrances. The last human to believe in her existence is a little girl who offers her paper cranes each morning. Athena is suspicious of Nektar, who they do not recognize (something that is extremely rare for Athena), and suspects they are a powerful nymph deluded by shock, insanity, or a power trip. However, Nektar is the one who tends to Athena's wounds after the Greek goddess escaped Calvera's siege upon Olympus with Erinys, so Athena keeps their worries to themself.
Nektar is extremely optimistic and content with her existence, despite how fragile her world is. A god's strength is determined by the power of the belief in them, and the little girl in a nearby village is all she has left. In her own words, "She gives more to me than a thousand people have given in a century." Her bond with the girl is so strong that, at one point, Nektar gave the girl her left eye when the child developed cataracts. Now, each shares' an eye from the other (the girl having Nektar's eye on her left side, and Nektar have the girl's eye on her own left).
As Calvera's grip upon the mortal and immortal worlds strengthens, can their bond endure... or burn like all the others?
